A Local’s Guide to Fall Color on the Ridge
Every October the ridge performs its oldest trick: a wave of color that starts at the peaks and rolls downhill over six weeks. The topmost maples turn first, usually in the second week of the month, while the valley oaks hold their gold into November.
Our favorite vantage points are the sunrise deck at Skyline Villa, the fire tower trail fifteen minutes from the lodge, and — for the truly committed — the dawn overlook walk our guides run every Saturday in October.
